Dissertation Express - Ordering Through Your Interlibrary Loan Office

Librarians—here's a great program that delivers dissertations to your patrons, saves you overhead, and costs you nothing. So why not check it out?

Dissertation Express is a service offered at no charge to interlibrary loan (ILL) offices at academic libraries in the U.S. and Canada. It gives students and faculty the option of buying copies of dissertations or master's theses, instead of borrowing them through ILL.

Titles are available in:

• unbound, shrink-wrapped format for $33.00. In most cases, the unbound, shrink-wrapped titles are delivered to the library for pickup within three to five business days of ordering. Dissertations written before 1997 may take one to two additional days to deliver. Delivery time to Canada may vary depending on customs.
• PDF format for $30.00. PDF copies are available for download within 1 business day.

ProQuest Dissertation Publishing's point of contact is the ILL office, not the individual patron. The ILL office is responsible for:

• Collecting the copy price (in U.S. dollars) in advance from customers
• Transmitting orders to us through a web-based interface
• Holding the titles we send for patron pickup
• Passing on the copy price (in U.S. dollars) in response to our invoices

ProQuest is responsible for:

• Generating high-quality printed copies or PDFs
• Delivering print copies to the ILL office within three to five business days (or more in exceptional cases) by express carrier; or providing a link to download PDFs within 1 business day
• Billing the library at prices according to the selected formats

Note: the library's only obligation is to remit the money it receives from patrons; enrollment and participation are free of charge.
