Frequently Asked Questions
Question
There is a missing issue or article in ProQuest, what should I do?
Answer

While ProQuest makes every effort to provide complete runs of newspaper titles, it is still dependent on what is in the microfilm record. If gaps in coverage appear in the microfilm, then those gaps will also appear in the digital file. The reasons for gaps in coverage can vary from oversight in the manufacturing process, to historical factors, such as a strike or other event that may have prevented publication for a certain date or period. When a gap is identified, please contact ProQuest so a determination can be made as to the whether the gap is due to manufacturing oversight or whether there is a true gap in coverage.

If you find an issue missing in ProQuest, please send ProQuest Technical Support the following information:

1. Publication

2. Issue/Volume

3. Issue Date

The problem will be researched and then you will be notified of the outcome.
